Home birth is a wonderful, safe option for people with low-risk pregnancies, whether this is your first time giving birth or your fifth. Wildwood Midwifery’s home birth package includes comprehensive prenatal, birth, postpartum, and well-baby care.

Initial consultations are complimentary.

holistic Prenatal Care

Prenatal visits follow the standard schedule, taking place every 4 weeks until the 28th week of pregnancy, every 2 weeks until the 36th week, and weekly until labor begins. Visits take place in Lucy’s home office and typically run for 60 minutes. This allows plenty of time to answer questions and thoroughly check in the well being of both parent & baby.

Other aspects of holistic prenatal care include:

  • Lab tests & blood work

  • Informed choice discussions & handouts about standard screening & testing options during pregnancy, including Gestational Diabetes and Group Beta Strep

  • Referrals for ultrasound and genetic screening

  • Exercise, nutrition, and herbal medicine counseling

  • Medical consultation if issues arise that are out outside of the midwifery scope of practice

  • Referrals to other care practitioners, as desired/requested, such as massage therapists, acupuncturists, counselors, cranial sacral therapists, chiropractors, doulas, physicians, etc.

  • Text, phone, and email availability in between appointments

Lucy was the perfect midwife for us. Her hands were the first to touch our firstborn son, Harrison. We felt comfortable with Lucy instantly. At each prenatal appointment we were given loving support, pregnancy updates, and heartwarming encouragement. During delivery, Lucy had a warm and comfortable energy that perfectly eased and relaxed my lovely wife. Having tremendous medical knowledge, she perfectly coached my wife through the labor process. Having Lucy in our home helped to make our son’s birth such a calm, spiritual, and loving event. If you are expecting, I recommend that you meet with Lucy French and witness her amazing presence personally. Her guidance during our son’s birth will be remembered always. We cannot thank you enough.
