As a home birth midwife, Lucy views pregnancy and birth as normal, physiologic events in the human lifespan.

Lucy upholds the midwifery model of care by combining age-old wisdom with contemporary, evidence-based clinical care. Her approach is rooted in active listening, education, and informed choice. Lucy finds that families tend to birth and parent with more confidence when they understand their choices and make informed decisions. Lucy’s goal is to facilitate this process by providing thoughtful, un-rushed prenatal & postpartum care.

The word wildwood refers to an “uncultivated wood or forest that has been allowed to grow naturally,” symbolizing Lucy’s belief that the process of growing and birthing a child is designed to unfold without control or management. With this value system in mind, Lucy finds balance as a midwife by honoring the wisdom of the body while carefully & consistently assessing the well being of both mother & baby. Lucy is quick to intervene if a situation warrants medical assistance, prioritizing safety above all.
